Cross-Taping (CT)
  • Anatomical and physiological justification for cross-taping techniques
  • Indications and contraindications
  • Types of cross tape and rules for application
  • Basic level of CT - working with myofascial pain syndrome (MFPS):
  • The concept of MFPS and trigger points
  • Etiology and main causes of MFPS
  • Phases (stages) of myofascial pain syndrome

  • Cross-taping for MFPS of back muscles (trapezius, latissimus dorsi, rhomboids) - anatomical aspects, muscle-manual testing, application
  • Cross-taping for MFPS of muscles in the upper extremities and shoulder (deltoid, supraspinatus, triceps brachii) - anatomical aspects, muscle-manual testing, application
  • Cross-taping for MFPS of muscles in the lower extremities (iliopsoas, gluteus maximus, tensor fasciae latae) - anatomical aspects, muscle-manual testing, application
  • Cross-taping for MFPS of lower extremity muscles (hamstring group: semitendinosus, semimembranosus, biceps femoris; gastrocnemius) - anatomical aspects, muscle-manual testing, application.
